
Chair Holder
Prof. Dr. Bruno G. Pollet has worked on Hydrogen Energy in the UK, Japan, South Africa, Norway, and Canada, and has both industrial and academic experience. He is currently a Full Professor of Chemistry, Co-Director of the Hydrogen Research Institute and Director of the Clean Hydrogen Lab at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières in Canada. He also holds an NSERC Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Clean Hydrogen. He is a member of the Council of Engineers for the Energy Transition, An Independent Advisory Council to the United Nations’ Secretary-General and the Council’s Hydrogen Task Force leader. He is Executive Vice President of the International Association for Hydrogen Energy (IAHE), President of the Clean Hydrogen Division of the IAHE, Board member of the Canadian Hydrogen Association and Board member of the Canadian Hydrogen Safety Centre. He also sits on several industrial, research institution, and other association boards. He has over 400 publications, including peer-reviewed articles, conference papers, book chapters and books as an author and an editor.

Senior Researcher
Mikaa Blugeon-Mered is Senior Researcher in Hydrogen Geopolitics, Global Markets, and Arctic Energy Applications. He is an award-winning author and public speaker specialized in the geopolitics and geoeconomics of climate change, with more than 10 years researching hydrogen and Polar affairs. His research focuses on the emerging geopolitics of hydrogen, at the intersection of space, place, trade flows and neo-institutionalist theory. He is also a lecturer and secretary general of the Chair on Overseas Territories at Sciences Po, and adjunct lecturer on hydrogen markets and geopolitics at HEC Paris. He also lectures on climate change and energy transition geopolitics at the French War College (École de guerre) where he supervises the Environment & Security committee, as well as at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University’s Public Policy school (UM6P, Morocco). He is a member of the steering committee of the French Hydrogen Task Force (created by MEDEF International and France Hydrogène), member of the Hydrogen Business for Climate Forum’s experts committee, of the World Hydrogen Leaders network, and sits on the board of the SEFACIL Foundation for applied research on ports and maritime logistics. He is recipient of two literary awards for his work on Arctic and Antarctic geopolitics, he has contributed as scientific advisor to several internationally distributed documentaries and regularly appears on major national and international media outlets.
